The 2016 World Conference against A and H Bombs was held from August 2 to 9, and thousands of participants all over Japan and around the world including representatives of national governments and NGOs as well as peace activists and individuals gathered in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.  In response to the earnest wish of the Hibakusha to achieve a nuclear weapon-free world in their lifetime, they all committed themselves to do those utmost in the International Signature Campaign in support of the Hibakusha’s Appeal.
At the Hiroshima Day Meeting on August 6, Shinfujin young members stood on the stage as a member from Kyoto spoke.  Each one of them held a board with one character, all together making a sign that reads: “We are the ones who gather support for the International Signature Campaign!”.
